" Love" it or Hate it.....

What’s up ya’ll? I want to talk about the “ Love “ album right about now. I am curious to see what your thoughts are but I need to tell ya’ll mine. I bought the album on the release date, matter of fact I bought 3 copies to support the guyz, however it is not what I expected. I do like the album and my all time favorite song on it is “ I Can’t Make You Love Me”. That song is going to be a classic with them guyz. Love the harmonies and the their voices sound amazing but I think after this one, the guyz need to go back to basics.

I am a huge fan and what ever they decide to make musically I will always be supportive but I am ready for the guyz to go back to doing their own songs and not anyone else’s. I like the idea of the Motown album and that was pure genius but I want to hear them doing their own original songs. The songs that put them on the map and help to shape their musical identity in the business. Where would we be in the world if the never introduced us to I’ll Make Love To You, Bended Knee, Motownphilly, and Beautiful Women and of course the list can go on but I’m going to stop it here. I need for the guyz to let Randy go and work with a new producer who wants to put them back on the map with originality and not a whole bunch of damn remakes. It was cool but now it is time for a change. I will always be supportive but I want the old Boyz back doing them and not everybody else!! After this album I hope that they don’t do another remake for a long time. I love the guyz regardless to what they decide to do but if they are listening and want a piece of advice…. LET RANDY JACKSON GO!!!! It was a great run in the beginning working with him but now it time to change the game and work with someone else. My personal suggestion would be with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis for starters. Just want another hit album without the remakes… Enough is enough!!! Okay…. So what do you all think?

Wow...I listen to it all the time. It is a bit slow, as love songs usually are, but I think it's great, minus Back for Good. I don't now what they were thinking with that one. When I heard this was gonna be another cover album I was upset, but I love it. The harmonies are amazing, vocally this is their best album to date. My favourite songs are Misty Blue, Amazed, I Can't Make You Love Me, In My Life, Cupid, When I Fall in Love. Judging by the reactions on the web people are pissed that this is another cover album. People only seem to post positive reviews on their official site. I wonder why???!!!Having read all those comments, I can't help but wonder how the guyz felt about doing another cover album when they were first approached with the idea. Were they excited or were they like 'oh no, not another one'. Somehow I doubt they came up with the idea themselves, or maybe they did, I don't know. I wonder if Decca, their label wanted them to do 2 cover albums from the start or maybe the idea for Love came about after the success of Hitswille. But a deal is a deal, right? I'm actually a bit worried about them, to be quite honest with you. I personally love the album, but I'm a bit sick of the covers too. They have a fan in me for life (unless they cover Britney Spears lol) and I can definitely wait till the next album, but I wonder how many people are still willing to wait:(
Anyway, Shawn said in one of the interviews,"No more cover albums, at least for another five or 10 years," so, the next one is all original music again. I want another Remedy.

I hope so. I want to hear the old them. True enough a deal is a deal and money is money but I am afraid that if they do another remake it might hurt them pretty bad. I will always be a fan for life but I agree with you Ursk, I want another Remedy album. Them on that grown folk shit and make us all have something to think about. I haven’t posted any reviews on the web about my thought and I didn't but I listened to what everybody else had to say. The album in my opinion is okay not the worst but nowhere near their best but sometimes you have to do what’s in demand and not what you feel. I think that people wanted to hear and thought that this album was going to be like the Motown album and they thought they were going to do good with the record sells but I think It's only doing ok. Just want them doing some new stuff for the grown folks. We will never get the Cooleyhighharmony days back but we can get them sing now being a little bit older and a little bit wiser. Much love to my guyz but I have to say that I want to see them back on top doing their own thing!! I will wait no matter how long it takes because I believe it is going to be worth the wait!!

If it takes 5 years that’s cool we got enough music by them to last until then, just get it right and make it tight. It’s okay for them to sing a song in a tribute or even a very popular song and put their twist on it but singing songs that people have totally forgotten about is not good to me. With the Motown album it was a little different because we all still love the sound of the golden days of Motown and even my kids listen to it, but some of those songs on the LOVE album my kids have never even heard of. Trust me I am not complaining just want something new and originally
